The Pioneer's Haven offers church services from three different denominations in our community: Catholic, Lutheran and United. We also host prayer and song sessions and have communion once a month.

Do you need a hair cut and style? Our residents are treated to weekly visits from a licensed hair stylist. This service is offered for a nominal fee.

The Pioneer's Haven offers exercises twice a week that anyone can do! This service is put on by volunteers from our community.

Movie Nights
Our common room hosts a large television, DVD and VCR players. We have a large collection of tapes and DVD's always available for our residents. You can watch a movie by yourself, with family and friends or join us for our weekly Movie Nights, complete with popcorn and snacks!

We love playing cards here at The Pioneer's Haven! There is always someone to play a quick game of cards with or join us for one of our many card tournaments throughout the year!

Once and month (Excluding July, Aug and Dec) we offer a Soup and Sandwich Day. This is a chance for the community to come share a meal with our residents. Our amazing cooks prepare homemade soups, sandwiches and yummy desserts for our guests. The cost is $10 per person and no cost to our residents!

Wellness is offered in The Pioneer's Haven every 6 weeks. Our Home Care nurses offer nail care, blood pressure and blood sugar checks. This is available to all of our residents and community members are free to utilize the service in our building as well!

The Pioneer's Haven offers special guests to come and entertain our residents. This includes musical guests, guest speakers, animal rescues and school groups. If you have a talent or activity that you would like to share with our residents, please contact us! We would love to have you!

We know how important it is to stay in touch with your family and friends. The Pioneer's Haven encourages visits from family and friends at all times. We have no visiting hours and offer overnight accommodations for guests when available for a small fee. We also offer large family events for all our residents and their loved ones to enjoy!

Each month, we have a monthly birthday party to celebrate all the residents who have birthdays in that month. Families are welcome and encouraged to join us for the party! There is usually some entertainment and it ends with a piece of your favorite cake or dessert and visiting with family and friends!

There doesn't have to be an event for you to be busy at The Pioneer's Haven! We have a large library of many different genres of books and magazines, a large collection of CD's and Cassettes to listen to, numerous puzzles and board games available to all residents. We also have sewing machines available for resident use and many crafting supplies. There's always something to do at The Pioneer's Haven!

No one goes hungry at The Pioneer's Haven! Our meals are all homemade, nutritious and coffee is always on!
We also have special events to give our residents specials snacks! Ice Cream Socials, Pizza Nights and taco nights are common!

For all our residents who like to dress up on occasion, we host High Teas that are open to the community!

We have special events where children from surrounding communities come to visit our residents! We play games and make crafts! It is part of their curriculum and we enjoy having them with us!

Are you creative? The Pioneer's Haven offers craft nights whenever we have the opportunity! Or grab some crafting supplies that we keep on hand and make something beautiful!

We host themed days at least once a month, sometimes more! In 2022 we have travelled to Mexico, Ukraine, Greece, and Italy! Other themed days included: Mad Hatter tea party, Beach day, Newfoundland day, Mardi Gras, wild west and more!
